After posting a recent project of a magazine spread on Instagram, the Editor-in-Chief of Central Washington University's school newspaper The Observer, reached out to me and asked me if I'd like a position as the Lead Graphic Designer on their team. I spent a couple quarter's editing photos, making layouts for the double truck, and giving creative direction to a team of journalists. I'm grateful for the experiences I gained working in a newsroom and the lessons I learned as a graphic designer.
